THREE outperforms other popular 3D Scanners

January Spotlight - THREE Reviews of THREE

Reviews Round Up!

Reviews of THREE have been coming in. Here are a few highlights!

1) From the r/3DScanning Reddit forum

Toybuilder participated in a callout for scanning enthusiasts to scan and reprint a  carpenter square to compare the accuracy across 3D Scanner brands. Of course, part of that accuracy depends on the printer, but it's a fun challenge. :)

Check out this post to see the photos of Toybuilder's process and the ends results here.

2) Blog Post from a 3D Scanning Enthusiast

A Japanese blog post by Capbolt, doing a five part scanning test comparing THREE to a couple other popular 3D scanners. We're absolutely thrilled with their results.

Check out their blog post for the full process and all their comparison scans here.

Scanned Item: Various coloured Lego pieces

Scanned Item: Plug

Scan Item: Motorcycle Part

3) 3D Musketeers on YouTube

Grant from 3D Musketeers did a live unboxing of THREE, trying it out for the first time. After a great start, and then some ups and downs (which gave us a list of fixes we've already released in the software!), he ends strong with an excellent scan of a model car, marveling over the fine details THREE was able to capture, and how the results were indistinguishable from the scan he got from his Artec Space Spider (which is 10X more expensive!). Check out his video:
