THREE Programming Knowledge Base, API, and Python Library

  • Our intention is for this forum to become the knowledge base for programming THREE. Rather than answering questions via email, we will answer them publicly, here, so that over time they will become a useful source of information for the current and future community of THREE programmers.

We've published a Python library with code examples to make it easy to code your THREE. Check it out here:

    https://github.com/Matter-and-Form/three-python-library/

    The API is documented here:

    https://github.com/Matter-and-Form/V3Schema/wiki

Please post your questions, ideas, answers here, and over time this will develop into a really great resource.

  • Any ETA for the still image capture APIs? I saw an open issue but it's been there for a while.

  • Also, it looks like the repo for the Python library is set to private. I am getting a 404 from Github and it doesn't appear in the list of repos here.

  • Hi Brandon,

Apologies! The Python library has been made public now.

The single image capture is being added to the V3Schema (API) and will be available soon. Thank you for the reminder.

    Trevor.

  • Hi Brandon,

The CaptureImage task is now publicly accessable, so you can capture single images with the Python library or through the API. Update your THREE software and you'll have it.
