I somehow stumbled across the work of a THREE owner that goes by the name PAYO on YouTube.
His channel contains some fun and informative videos of the THREE scanner being used in various ways that I found very helpful.

His use of an EGG as a test model is particularly interesting. And, I also found his coverage of using a popular paint program to enhance the accuracy of his final scan results to be very useful. While I have always cleaned up materials for .OBJs in apps like Affinity Photo, his use of fill layers for color correction was very helpful.
